What we collect
Account details. Your name, email address, an optional phone number, and a password which we store only as a secure one-way hash — we can never read it.
Invitation content. Everything you enter: names, dates, events, venue details, your story, family names, photographs and any music you upload.
Payment details. Handled entirely by our payment gateway. We receive an order reference, the amount, and whether it succeeded. We never see or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or bank credentials.
RSVP responses. Names, contact details, guest counts and messages your guests submit through your invitation.
Visit statistics. How many times a published invitation was opened. To count unique visitors without tracking anyone, we store a salted one-way hash of the IP address and browser string — never the raw IP.
Why we use it
- To create, render and host your invitation
- To sign you in and keep your account secure
- To take payment and issue receipts
- To email you your invitation link, RSVP alerts and expiry reminders
- To show you basic view and RSVP statistics
- To detect abuse and keep the service running
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else sees it
- Our payment gateway, to process the payment you initiate.
- Our email provider, to deliver the emails you expect.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the data that runs the service.
- Anyone you share your invitation link with — a published invitation is a public web page, so treat its address accordingly.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
A published invitation is public
This is worth stating plainly: once published, anyone with the link can open your invitation and see the names, dates, photographs and venue on it. We ask search engines not to index it, and it is never listed in our sitemap, so it should not appear in search results — but a link is a link. Share it only with people you intend to invite, and do not put anything on the page you would not want a stranger to read. Your private preview link is likewise unlisted, uncrawled, and viewable by anyone holding it.
How long we keep it
Every invitation has a fixed life. We permanently delete it, and everything attached to it, 10 days after the wedding date you set in the editor. If you move the wedding date, the deletion date moves with it. The exact date is shown on your dashboard and on your guest list page, so you can download your guest list before then. Once deleted it cannot be recovered.
- Invitation content and photos: deleted 10 days after your wedding date.
- RSVP responses, including guest names, phone numbers and messages: deleted with the invitation, or sooner if you delete them yourself.
- Visit statistics: deleted with the invitation, and held as hashed records only, with no way back to a person.
- Your account: while it exists, so you can create further invitations.
- Payment records: kept after the invitation is deleted, without the invitation content, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your choices
- See or correct your details from your profile page at any time.
- Edit or remove any content on your invitation, at any time.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account and its content — write to us and we will act within 30 days.
- Unpublish an invitation to take it off the public web immediately.
Some records — payment history in particular — must be retained even after deletion, because the law requires it.
Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies: one to keep you signed in, one to protect forms against cross-site request forgery, and one to remember an invitation you started building before creating an account. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Security
Passwords are hashed, payments are handled by the gateway, uploads are re-encoded before they are stored, and access to invitations is checked on every request. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and fix problems quickly when they are found.
Children
The service is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect their data.
